I hate how the "bad guys" in almost every story have the prettiest cities (architecturally and aesthetically) Archades is a gorgeous place and I wish we got to see more of it in the plot BUT OF COURSE ITS WHERE THE EMPIRE IS HOMED...grumble grumble grumble my moral outrage that Empires are all evil and I wish the good guys had places like Archades lol

Sleipnir! This is a creature from the game FFXII which I have been playing recently, I have always wanted to draw one of these guys. Right now I am working on unlocking all rare game creatures.

I plan on drawing the Thextera soon as well but I don't want to heavy reference as much as I did here (as to add my own style). Only resource used were the in game models, I tried to do a similar pose to one of the walk animations here and it turned out well. I try not to draw by models often so i can challenge myself but such a complex design needs it.

Obviously I cannot take full credit though so thank you developers for the game model! The coloring however is my own artistic choice and I felt it would be really cool to make him shiny like the cover/title art.

So I'm playing FFXII Zodiac Age at the moment (yep, I'm well behind on sharing my screengrabs! I'm a whole two games behind lmao) and does anyone else think the Salika Wood would be a much more fitting home for the Viera than the Golmore Jungle?

I know Eruyt Village is technically its own zone/area. But I feel like passing through Salika to get there is much more on Eruyt Village's vibe.

Then again, I suppose the wildness of Golmore is a good repellent for pesky humes. ((Have you seen how the big mantis monsters cannibalize the poor chocobos though!?))
